Symptoms - Watching over the needs of loved ones. Demanding. Criticizing. Conditional love.
The Chicory type seems to manifest itself a lot in mothers. They are constantly expecting their children, relatives to gather around her, and yet even when they do, it's never good enough. There will always be something wrong. Maybe it's that the children might raid the fridge or they don't call enough, expect when they do, it's never convenient. Or if someone rings for them, and they are not there, they get angry as if the person should have known better.
This type of person can be the ultimate in frustration as they are never really happy unless attention, positive or negative, is centred around them. Often, you'll find that if someone else is taking the spot light, they will do or say something to bring it back to them.
They are most happy when you have to travel long distances to see them! (And yes, I've lived with a chicory type for a long time. :-) )
