Rescue Cream

Rescue Remedy is a combination of five flower essences. They are as follows:

Impatiens (Impatiens glandulifera): For those tend to be irritable, quick thinking, but impatient because others can't keep up with them.  Very useful for when there is an emergency and you are panicking because things aren't moving fast enough. Like getting to a hospital or waiting for an ambulance.

Clematis (Clematis vitalba): For those who are unconscious, feeling faint, dreamy, spacious, that out of body sensation that often accompanies trauma. Helpful for someone who has fainted.

Rock Rose (Helianthemum nummularium): For panic, terror, hysteria, and great fear.

Cherry Plum (Prunus cerasifera): For fear of letting go, losing mental or physical control.

Star of Bethlehem (Ornithogalum umbellatum): For mental or physical trauma, shock, bad news, fights.

It is a general tonic which is good for emergencies, traumas, bad news, accidents, fainting, etc. It helps neutralise the shock so the body may begin healing itself.

It is important to note that Rescue Remedy does not take the place of first aid, or a doctor, and medical assistance should be called when appropriate.

A few years back, I decided to visit the possums in Fitzroy gardens in Melbourne and feed them. The possum however decided it liked my finger much better than the bread I offered it. When I finally managed to get its sharp teeth off, I noted that my finger was cut pretty bad and bleeding. Fortunately we don't have rabies in Australia, however, there was a real chance of infection. I put some rescue remedy on, and this helped somewhat.

The next day, the finger was still not doing well, so I spent an hour just putting drops directly from the stock bottle on the wound. At the end of the hour, the swelling had gone down, the pain had stopped and the finger healed quickly within a few days.
