Your belief system creates your experiences and your experiences create your belief system, which in turn create your reality. Needless to say, the more you experience a certain reality, the more you are likely to experience it. This does not mean that events outside of your belief system won’t happen, but it can affect how you view them, and even cause you to totally disregard it.

Many people say that you can’t control what happens to you. They may suggest that we are victims, or our destiny is controlled by fate. Ironically, this, too, is part of a belief system they have, and they will experience that reality. Even the reality of having no choice is still making a choice.

There are many people who find themselves trapped in a world they claim they never made. I feel it is more accurate to say that they are trapped in a world they lost control over. There is a reason why one person struggles to make ends meet and another never seems to run out of money. There is a reason why one is lucky in love and another always seems to end up with losers. The key is in your true thoughts and beliefs about life and who you are.

Getting back control!

How do we get back control? Indeed, how do we even create a new reality when the one we have right now, sucks?

Your belief system is the key. If you can change that, you can change your life. From personal experience, I can tell you that changing what you believe at the core levels makes all the difference. My goal here is to show you one way you can do that.

How to create a new personal belief system.

Step 1: Write down your current belief system. To start with, don’t think bout what you belief, just write down the words ‘I believe’ and follow it with a statement. When you’ve run out of things to write, then you can start to think about situations and people and what you believe will happen. Let all the negative statements come out. This is the whole point of the exercise. Statements like ‘I believe I will always be broke’ need to be acknowledged, so you can heal and change them.

Step 2: Write down your new belief system. Think about what you want. Don’t limit yourself to say, well, I can’t have that, so I won’t ask for it. That’s allowing it to be part of your belief system. Make sure you start every sentence with “I am, or I have, and avoid ‘I want’. Remember, the universe takes you literally, and will put you into a state of  ‘wanting’. It’s also important to make sure this new system is an expression of who you are!

Step 3: Carry the new belief system around with you and read it often and every day. Read it like you believe it. End each reading with ‘This is my new reality. So be it.’

One day, you will suddenly find that it is your new reality. You might not remember when it happened, you might not even remember being any other way, which is a curious effect.

Having experience this, I can tell you it works and is life changing.

Sounds simple? Simple is powerful.
