This is going to be a page all about Cleansing, Breathing, and Protection (on protection see also Psychic Attack by Gary.
Basic Natural Breathing
This is the version as given by Zephyr Lioness, an on-line Witch my version is different youll note! Im going to write these techniques EXACTLY as Zephyr gave them
"Sit, stand, or lie comfortably with your back in a good posture. Slumping forward inhibits your ability to breathe deeply and fully.
Identify anything that is stressing or worrying you. Only think about this for a few seconds then let it all go. Imagine the tension taking flight like a flock of doves soaring into the sky. Hear their wings flapping as your worries leave you, lighter, freer.
Consciously relax your arms and shoulders. Place one hand on your abdomen.
Slowly exhale through your nose, expelling all the air you can without strain.
Take a deep breath, filling first your abdomen, then your chest. Feel your abdomen inflate like a soft balloon, but not distend.
Exhale slowly through your nose again.
Repeat this, being cognizant of each breath until your breathing is steady and natural feeling.
Notice how relaxed you have become. You are ready to proceed with grounding and centering, meditation, more advanced breathing exercises (below) or other activities."
Now comes the Tension Release Breathing I know youll LOVE it!
"Do not let yourself think about any worries or anxiety provoking issues while doing this exercise. If the thoughts creep in, stop them by re-focusing on the breathing and counting.
Begin breathing deeply, filling your abdomen first, then your chest.
Sit quietly, scan your body for tension, and consciously tell any tense muscles to relax (tension often accumulates in shoulders, neck and back).
Inhale deeply through your nose, pause, then exhale, count one.
Repeat, counting your exhalations to five.
Begin again, counting exhalations one to five.
Continue this exercise 5-10 mins.
You should be relaxed and the anxiety and tension greatly diminished."
See how essential breathing really is? We have at our disposal one of the easiest tools for relieving the most common of complaints our breath. Hopefully these techniques will help you do just that!
Purifying Breath
"This breathing exercise is used to tone your respiratory system and to send renewed energy to your whole body. If you have been sitting and feeling stagnant, this one will reawaken you. It can be used as part of a pre-ritual cleansing as well"
If you are not a Witch or do not perform any kind of rituals, it can be used before a big meeting or if you are entering an area in which there are highly negative people see also Cleansing, Meditation and Self-Circuit for these!
"Sit or stand comfortably.
Inhale a complete, natural breath through your nose.
Hold your breath for a few seconds.
Pretend to have a straw in your mouth, and exhale a short burst of air forcefully, through the small opening. Stop, then do it again.
With each puff out, visualise any pollutants, negativity and detrimental germs going with the air, and falling harmlessly to the floor.
Repeat until you have emptied your lungs via these short, strong puffs.
Inhale, visualising pure, cleansing air entering your body, filling you with purity.
Repeat about 6-10 times."
If you did this right, you should be feeling very fresh and cool. Shows how much empathic and psychic crap we pick up, huh?
But then again, thats where all this comes in. Psychic attack is basically throwing this stuff at you these techniques along with Gary's and my protection methods (and some from places and people I cant even remember!) will help you against this.
This next one is SO EASY youll laugh yourself to death!
It works too
This is the Energizing Breath ..please dont laugh .were trying to be serious .maybe NOT then
"Stand comfortably.
Stretch several times, reaching higher each time.
Trigger your yawn reflex while stretching.
Begin breathing deeply and naturally, as above.
Spin your arms backward, all the way round.
Switch directions, spinning them forward.
This will re-energize you!"
Okay, okay so its kookie but it WORKS!
One more technique left, and the most important.
Healing Breath
Lie comfortably.
Practice natural breathing for a few minutes.
Place your dominant hand on the part of the body that is injured or affected. Place your other hand (receptive) on your abdomen.
Visualise energy flowing into you with each inhalation, filling a reservoir in your solar plexus. Imagine this energy flowing into the selected area, washing through it, driving out the pain or infection. Cleansing, purifying, disinfecting energy being drawn from the universe and being chanelled into healing light.
Continue this until you feel ready to be finished.
Place both arms at your sides, palms turned downward and let the excess energy in your hands flow back into the surface/ground beneath you.
This exercise may be repeated as normal."
I have tried this along with my other healing methods and find it works just as well as anything else.
I advise people to do healing everyday, we always need it, and theres no such thing as having too much good health or energy on ANY level.
Now the rest is freely given and mostly from me
Here is a technique we ALL need that I found a while ago. I call it the Self-Circuit, and it does exactly that.
If you have read the Celestine Prophecy or know about such things, you will also know that humans are locked in a constant fight for each others energy. Some people consciously or not literally suck or hook the energy from your aura. This is because your energy "circuit" or "loop" is open, making you susceptible to psychic leeching, or vampirism.
Yes, vampires do exist, psychic ones at least. Most do it without knowing it, during a conversation with you. Perhaps youve come away from someone feeling drained, tired, empty? They just took your energy. That is what we in the spiritual and Witching community call Psychic Attack. It is not right, not necessary and most definitely not acceptable.
This simple technique also helps to "isolate" your mind slightly from the world, such as when being in a crowd, and you begin to feel the effects of agraphobic. I used it for precisely this purpose and felt as though everything had gone into slow motion and I felt quite refreshed!
Self-Circuit
Either place your hands together, prayer-fashion, link them, or just touch the tips of the index fingers and thumbs together. Then put your feet together, so theyre touching each other and lower your hands which are still in their position.
You should feel the effects almost immediately. If that does not work, there are two other versions here;
Sit comfortably and stretch your legs out. Cross one ankle over the other and do likewise with your wrists, or have your hands in the position as above.
Let your mind loosen slightly (it will happen anyway) and you will feel much better. You may also get comments on how distant you feel; they are not feeling your energies sweeping over theirs
The other way is to simply sit in the lotus position or so your legs are crossed and cross your wrists. All three methods will close the circuit, the energy will begin to re-circulate within your own body, and only a few moments doing any of these techniques will leave you refreshed and calm!
I have tried each and every one of these techniques, and I say to you as a psychic, as a Healer, and as an honest person, that they work.
